I’m not sure if Mexico is going to use a card with a computer chip or will actually plant a biochip into a human being, but if it’s the latter I’m very afraid. I’d imagine that majority of the migrants Mexico captures and turns away are on their way to the US so anti-”illegal” [...]

The anti-migrant brigade know no limits in their efforts to gain support through fear and hatred of “others” and the “unknown.” It’s just strange that neither they nor the American public take the time to recognize how much this current mob scene mimics are terrible past. Aren’t we supposed to learn from history?
Shades [...]

The title of this “Voice of the Day” from a Missouri paper, in response to the good deed of Manuel Jesus Cordova, asks that undocumented migrant supporters admit that laws are being broken. Ok, laws are being broken. Who says they’re not?
The article then goes on to state that if we are going [...]

Many anti-”illegal” immigrant groups are jumping on the anti-Huckabee bandwagon so I figure this You Tube video is from someone in that movement. What this details for me is the false statistics used by many anti-migrant and nativist groups to garner support through fear and hate. It’s strange that instead of supporting a [...]

This is old, but funny – though you could argue as to which side it’s for. If you consider us US citizens to be the Indians then it says we’re all doomed. But if you see it as a blast of cold water to the anti-immigrants who themselves benefited from the Indians welcoming [...]

This is a good editorial from the NY Times detailing the problems with the immigration debate and how it is simply a blame game where every Republican is trying to to step on the others head to reach the top. It’s great how instead of focusing on Iraq, a much bigger issue I think, [...]

When I started this blog covering immigration issues – though not to the best extent possible – I didn’t believe this issue was as much in the forefront as it now is. With the war in Iraq still in progress I figured it would remain the most important debate for the country, but [...]
