SARITA — U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested two Willacy immigration detention center employees accused of trying to smuggle 28 undocumented immigrants across the Border Patrol checkpoint here, federal officials said Friday.

The two arrested are employees of the Utah-based Management Training Corp., which has a contract with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to run the detention center in Raymondville, said Nina Pruneda, the agency’s spokeswoman in San Antonio.
