The other day I brought you the story of the Barboza Family and their dog Bobby being shot three times by a Teton County, Idaho deputy. Here’s yet another story of a dog being shot and this time killed by officers of the law.

This took place in Prince Georges County, MD. Pam and Frank Myers were settled in their Accokeek home last Friday night watching a movie when they heard a banging on the door.

Small Dog Shot To Death After Escaping Family’s Yard
SANDY – A small dog was shot and killed Sunday after it escaped from its family’s yard while they were away at church.

The Loertschers had left to attend Sunday services at their church, leaving their small Shitzu, Samson, in their yard — where they typically do. While the family was away, the dog managed to get out of the family’s yard and wandered next door to a neighbor’s house.

Here a woman is shot by a neighbor as she ran after her dog. I seriously cannot understand why people are so trigger happy.

WADESVILLE, Ind. (AP) – Police say a southwestern Indiana woman chasing her dog was fatally shot by a neighbor after the dog ran through the neighbor’s property.

Twenty-9-year-old Nicole Stroud of Wadesville was pronounced dead yesterday at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Dog Shot, Left to Die

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person who shot a dog Saturday and left it to die.

The Arizona Humane Society said the 1-year-old golden retriever mix was shot at least twice near Southern Avenue and 10th Street.

Emergency animal medical technicians were called out and found the dog barely alive and bleeding from the chest. The dog also had a visible wound on his front leg.
