The Anti-Defamation League asked presidential candidates to refrain from anti-immigrant rhetoric.
The anti-bias group sent a letter to the major party presidential candidates requesting that they refrain from using language that demonizes and dehumanizes minorities, particularly Hispanics.
Though the use of illegal as a noun is not acceptable at least someone is calling out the candidates to cool their anti-immigrant rhetoric.

Jewish community traditionally at the forefront of immigrant rights efforts has gone strangely mute as politicians fan public fury over illegal immigration. This week there were signs that is changing; the Anti-Defamation League issued a warning to the 2008 presidential candidates to cool their white-hot rhetoric on the issue.
