HOUSTON ā€” The grass-roots workers and advocates who make up the National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights admitted Friday that they face myriad challenges this year as they lobby Congress to legalize the estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.

They know federal authorities are stepping up enforcement, states and cities are enacting their own laws to deter illegal immigration, and presidential candidates are talking about sealing the border.

  1. Illegal aliens are not immigrants, they are foreign intruders. The people who support them are foreign criminal activists, not immigrant rights activists. They are also racists because Latin Americans benefit from illegal immigration at a rate 30 times greater than non-Latin Americans, illegal immigration is a racist policy.
