It is all a game to them – BlueRidgeNow.com

The politicians can’t get immigration reform right because they’re more interested in making political gains than fixing the problem. Even in playing political games, they play them badly.
The latest display of political ineptitude would be laughable if the issue were not so important.
Republicans in Congress last week let it be known that they hope to use a bill drafted by a freshman Democrat to embarrass the Democratic leadership on the issue.
The freshman Democrat turns out to be Heath Shuler. Shuler defeated eight-term incumbent Charles Taylor in 2006 in part by adhering to a strong anti-immigration position. His SAVE Act (Secure America through Verification and Enforcement) is sponsored by 48 centrist Democrats and 94 Republicans and endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
