Questioning the Candidates on Immigration

All of us in favor of migrant rights were happy to see the nativist candidates knocked out with little effort. However, McCain and Obama aren’t giving us too much to be happy about. Therefore we’re waiting for answers – quite literally.

Both McCain and Obama have been in favor of the border wall while trying to state they’re also in favor of positive immigration reform. Those of us in favor of supporting migrants generally look to Obama for a voice, but even Obama sounds like a nativist from time to time. Therefore the editors at The Sanctuary have constructed a list of questions to get direct reaction from the candidates. By answering these questions the candidates will no longer be able to skate around the issue of immigration. While Obama claims that those people entering our country illegally disrespect our laws I have to ask what about the universal laws and the universal truth that everyone has the right to life, liberty and happiness.

The bottom line is real people are suffering and it’s time to get some answers so let’s hope these politicians will.
